Shelley + Michael | Four M Acres Events | Leicester, NC

Love was in the air the minute we arrived at Four M Acres Events. It rained most of the day, but that didn't put a damper on anything. We still had an amazing venue and awesome food. The owners, BJ & Melisa, are the BEST. They even surprised Shelley by lining the aisle with rose petals which we used for the couple when we did couple portraits.

There were two things that I distinctively remember on their wedding day. The first was when Shelley & Michael were getting ready to do their vows a big horn went off playing a tune not once, but at least six or seven times. The first time it was hilarious and then we were like, "Is this thing ever going to quit"? We later learned that this was the way the farmer called his horses back to the barn. The second thing I remember is Shelley's grandfather walking her down the aisle. This was a special moment. Both sides of the family were so sweet and I loved being a part of their day. I would like to thank each one of the vendors who made their day the best ever!!

Taylor + Miky | Asheville Couples Photographer | Crest Center & Pavilion

So excited this sweet couple asked me to capture a few portraits of them while they were on their honeymoon traveling through Asheville.  A few days prior to meeting them they were married in Charlotte, NC.  Thank you Taylor & Miky for choosing me to document your time here in Asheville.  Wishing you a long and blessed life together!

The Altamont Theatre | Barbra + Wade | Asheville Wedding Destination Photographer

The day began with Barbra & Wade getting ready at a beautiful two story house located on French Broad Avenue.  The setting was super laid back with their family and closest friends enjoying the day together.  After we had taken most of the details shots, the couple along with their wedding party, got on the Gray Line Trolley for a tour around downtown Asheville.  Their wedding was held at The Altamont Theatre.  The setting was absolutely gorgeous with the glow of candles and twinkling lights, just about as romantic as you can get.  Barbra handled every detail perfectly from the wooden name place settings and menus to the perfect little "to go" dessert boxes with a personalized sticker with their name and wedding date on it.

Thank you Barbra & Wade for choosing me to document your wedding day and for trusting us to do what we love the most, photographing couples who are madly in love!!

Good News Baptist Church | Kendall + Nick | Asheville Wedding Photographer

Who doesn't love a good LOVE story?  I DO!!!  These two are the kindest people you will ever meet, seriously and genuinely in love with God and each other.  The day started off with the bridal party getting ready at the Buffalo Creek Vacation Cabins in Clyde and then we all headed to the church for some photographs of the bridal party and detail shots before the wedding began.  Here is how they met in Kendall's words....

"I began writing prayers and letters to my future husband when I was 18 years old. After a while of writing them, God placed it on my heart to give these letters to my husband on our wedding day. Not knowing my husbands name, I addressed them to "My tough and tender warrior", because I felt God telling me that's the kind of man I would marry. A couple years went by, and our wedding day was quickly approaching, so Nick's dad restored a wooden box that has been passed down from generations past in his family for me to put the letters, as well as my purity/promise ring in it to give Nick on our wedding day.  His dad, his best man, presented it to him the night before our wedding.

We met at Biltmore Church through college group and school bible studies, but really connected on a missions trip to Guatemala City and began dating shortly after.  I first began a deep friendship with him during the summer of 2015, and the week we connected in Guatemala I knew I wanted to marry him. The rest is history!"

Ceremony by the River | Brittany + Logan | Marshall Wedding Photographer

Brittany and Logan were married by the river in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony in Marshall at a privately owned venue.  The reception space was beautifully lit with twinkling lights and yummy desserts made by their families.  I love that Brittany included her dog in the ceremony with a sweet flower wreath walking her down the hill to meet her husband.  The setting was laid back and Brittany looking stunning in her beautiful wedding dress.  Thank you two so much for choosing me to document your day!!  I hope you're having an amazing time right now on your cruise!!

Julie + David | Married | The Fields of Blackberry Cove | Weaverville Wedding Photographer

This was one of the hottest days of the summer and when we arrived at The Fields of Blackberry Cove, the power was out.  A line had been hit down the road and it knocked out power to the entire venue.  But this didn't stop everyone from having a great time.  We improvised.  We started with all the detail shots and there were a ton.  Did I mention I love shooting details!!  When the power came back on Sandi finished getting Julie's hair done and we were off to do group shots of the bridal party.  Julie looked stunning in her dress as she walked down the path to the open field toward the huge tree outside where the ceremony site was.  For a moment, David closed his eyes and then saw his bride for the first time.  I think we truly captured their love through photos.  Thank you to all the vendors who made their wedding day a success and to Julie & David, thank you for choosing me to document your special day!!  Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day!!

Brooke + Michael Wedding | Macedonia Baptist Church | Asheville Wedding Photographer

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

Proverbs 31: 10-12

I met Brooke and her mom a little over a year and a half ago when they first started wedding planning.  I noticed right away the quiet meek spirit Brooke had along with a genuine kindness. A few months later I met Michael and Brooke at Biltmore for their engagement session and couldn't help but see the strong love and compassion they had for each other.

I don't think I've ever photographed a wedding where the entire church was filled to capacity with friends and family with standing room only.  I grew up in a small country church and I know the close ties you have with your church family.  What was even more special was, Brooke's grandfather married Michael and Brooke.  What a special moment that will never be forgotten.  I must say I cry at almost every wedding I photograph, but especially at this one because the tears flowed down on Brooke & Michael's face as they saw each other for the first time.

Thank you both for choosing me to document your special day!  It was truly a pleasure serving you both.  I wish you joy, happiness and a love and closeness that only God can give you both.

Love & Prayers,  Tracy

Emilee + Andrei | Sky Mountain Events | Asheville Wedding Photographer

I met this sweet couple the first time when I photographed their engagement photos at the Biltmore Estate.   Sometimes you meet a couple and you feel like you've made friends forever. This is how I felt with Emilee & Andrei.  Their wedding took place at the beautiful Sky Mountain Events literally ten minutes from my home and talk about a view.  Oh my goodness!!  The view was INCREDIBLE!!  It was a sunny day filled with close family and friends who gathered to celebrate their marriage.  As Emilee walked down the hill accompanied by her father, the tears started flowing.  The vows they said to one another were so beautiful.  After the ceremony and photos, they headed back to their home town in Tennessee for the reception.  Thank you both for choosing me to document your wedding day.  You were a joy to spend time with.  I wish you many blessings on your marriage!!

Lindsay | NC Arboretum Bridal Session

I'm so excited to share Lindsay's bridal session today.  Lindsay is a beautiful soul both inside and outside, a true sweetheart.  Alex and Lindsay were married this past Saturday at our home church, Trinity Baptist Church and she wore her mother's veil which was absolutely stunning. Lindsay, thank you for choosing me to document your day.  Here are a few of my favorite images from her bridal session at the NC Arboretum.

Alex & Bari | Omni Grove Park Inn Proposal

Nothing beats a romantic Grove Park Inn dinner and a PROPOSAL right before dinner.  Yes, Alex had gotten in touch with me a week before and told me his plan to ask Bari to marry him at the Grove Park Inn.  He flew up the day before to NYC to pick out the diamond, flew back to Nashville that evening and the two of them drove to Asheville the next day.  I LOVE surprises and Bari was truly surprised and couldn't stop looking at her hand.  Talk about a STUNNING RING.  Thank you Alex for choosing me to share in your joyful moment.  You were both so sweet to work with.  I wish you both the very best!!

Basilica of St. Lawrence | Scott + Erin | Asheville Wedding Photographer

I met these two on a gorgeous sunny day at Basilica of St. Lawrence in downtown Asheville for a "first look" and then we headed out to Beaver Lake for some pre-wedding photos.  Scott & Erin were a joy to work and their day couldn't have been complete without the help of all of these wonderful vendors!!  Best wishes for a lifetime of happiness together!!
