Shelley + Michael | Four M Acres Events | Leicester, NC

Love was in the air the minute we arrived at Four M Acres Events. It rained most of the day, but that didn't put a damper on anything. We still had an amazing venue and awesome food. The owners, BJ & Melisa, are the BEST. They even surprised Shelley by lining the aisle with rose petals which we used for the couple when we did couple portraits.

There were two things that I distinctively remember on their wedding day. The first was when Shelley & Michael were getting ready to do their vows a big horn went off playing a tune not once, but at least six or seven times. The first time it was hilarious and then we were like, "Is this thing ever going to quit"? We later learned that this was the way the farmer called his horses back to the barn. The second thing I remember is Shelley's grandfather walking her down the aisle. This was a special moment. Both sides of the family were so sweet and I loved being a part of their day. I would like to thank each one of the vendors who made their day the best ever!!

I can’t wait to capture some more beautiful bling in 2019!! ENJOY!!

Noelle + Austin | Black Balsam Knob Elopement

Noelle & Austin eloped at the foot of Black Balsam Knob surrounded by family and close friends. I met Noelle a couple of years ago at the local Leicester post office. We were both waiting to mail packages and after chatting in line, I handed her a business card and said to her, "If you ever need any photos I'd love to be the one to take them." She contacted me at the first of the year to tell me she was engaged and was in need of a wedding photographer. She connected with Destination Elopements and plans were made for their wedding day. I photographed their engagement photos this past summer at the lovely Botanical Gardens at Asheville. With a slight time change of their wedding day, I was unable to be there to photograph their wedding, but my good friend, Paige Broome, stepped in to save the day. I'm so thankful Paige was able to photograph this sweet couples elopement and to experience this beautiful place. I'm also so impressed with the bouquet and flower crown Noelle made. She is so talented!! I am truly SO IN LOVE with these images. They are TRULY AMAZING!!

Thank you Noelle & Austin for allowing me to find a replacement for myself and still allow me to edit your wedding photos. Paige truly captured your personalities and the love you both have for each other. I wish you both a lifetime of blessings and happiness together.

A huge shout out to the following who helped to make their day special!

Taylor + Clay | Zion Hill Baptist Church | Asheville Wedding Photographer

I love church weddings and especially ones way out in the country with a lot of history. Taylor & Clay were married at Zion Hill Baptist Church located in Leicester, NC. It was a gorgeous day filled with beautiful sunshine and blue skies. Their colors were navy, wine and grey with hints of white and gorgeous greenery. Stargazers did an amazing job on the florals! The ceremony was simple, but elegant. They were married by Pastor Bobby Smith surrounded by their closest family and friends. I would have to say that the director of wedding, Tracy Lee, did an outstanding job on directing and decorating the church and the reception hall. She made all of the wooden signs which were AMAZING!! So much talent!! The wedding was gorgeous, the food was so delicious and this couple along with their families were a joy to photograph. We were so thankful to find a beautiful field right across the street from the church to do couple portraits.

Thank you Taylor & Clay for choosing me to document your wedding day. It was a pleasure to serve you. A huge shout out and thank you to all of the following who gave of their time and talent to make their day a success.

Cheyenne & Tyler | Trinity Baptist Church | Asheville Wedding Photographer

I'm so happy to finally be able to share this sweet couple that I love dearly!! Cheyenne, you looked stunning and Tyler, so handsome. They were married by their pastor, Ralph Sexton, Jr., and Cheyenne's uncle, Zach Cicillian, at Trinity Baptist Church in the small chapel. I loved all the details of the wedding and they also chose to do a "first look", which I absolutely love doing. Tyler might have shed a couple of tears when he saw his bride for the first time. After the beautiful ceremony and family photos we did portraits of the bride and groom and then headed to the reception in the gym for a taco bar, yes a TACO BAR, my favorite!! Anyone who knows me knows I love Mexican food. Tyler presented Cheyenne with a gift, a bible with her new last name engraved on it. What a sweet gift!! I would like to thank Cheyenne & Tyler for choosing me to document your wedding day. I am very grateful and blessed to call you my friends!! I pray God blesses your life together and gives you the desires of your heart.

I’m so excited to finally share Britt & Tate’s gorgeous wedding at Yesterday’s Spaces in Leicester. So much love for this couple who were married at this beautiful wedding venue. This was my first time shooting at this gorgeous location and I hope to be back there again real soon. Britt & Tate's wedding day was absolutely the BEST!! Britt did all the florals for her own wedding. She has such a talent!! I loved all the details and no detail was left untouched. Her dress was STUNNING unlike anything I've ever seen before. The beading on the back of the dress was fabulous!! The colors of navy and marsala with gold were used throughout the wedding details. Kathleen + Will | Jeter Mountain Farm Wedding

Kathleen & Will were married at Jeter Mountain Farm, an amazing venue in Hendersonville, NC with mountain views, a tree farm and a huge reception area perfect for large weddings. I can’t say enough about the vendors who made their day so special. Can we take a moment to appreciate how GORGEOUS Kathleen looking in her wedding gown, absolutely STUNNING. The flowers were designed and made by Cailtyn Whitworth who was her maid of honor, truly the most gorgeous florals I’ve ever seen at a wedding. The couple chose to do a “first look” before the wedding and it was sweet with the groom shedding a few tears. There were so many special moments I remember from their wedding. One would be the details. Kathleen’s wedding band was her grandmother’s, who passed away a few months prior to their wedding. Engraved inside was her nickname, Kat. Each centerpiece on every table was amazing. The food was fantastic!! The speech her dad gave at the reception was so sweet and the wedding party was so much fun. It was great to catch up with a few of my friends from Canton and I’m especially grateful to Kathleen & Will for choosing me to document your wedding day. Thank you to all the fabulous vendors who made their day truly AMAZING!

After some morning showers, we were blessed with a beautiful afternoon which allowed for outdoor photographs by the huge willow tree.  This day would not have been possible without the incredible vendors that put together a flawless day from start to finish.  Thank you all for making their day amazing!!

Anna + Chad | Four M Acres Events | Asheville Wedding Photographer

Anna & Chad were married by Chad's grandfather at the beautiful Four M Acres Events in Leicester on May 5th.  Anna had everything ready for us to start shooting details right when we arrived.  Her colors were a beautiful palette of blush, greens and navy blue.  There was a quick rain shower and then everyone grabbed some paper towels, dried off the seats, and we were able to proceed with the ceremony.  This was my first time photographing a wedding at this venue and I would have to say BJ & Melisa did a phenomenal job with hosting and catering.  The food was awesome!!

What I love about Anna & Chad is that they are super sweet and genuine.  They were a joy to spend the day with and I wish the two of them a lifetime of happiness and blessings!  It was hard to narrow down the blog post because there were SO many awesome images from their day so here are a few of my favorites.  Thank you to all of the incredible vendors who made their day FABULOUS!!  You guys ROCK!!  A huge thank you to Paige Broome for assisting me!!
